Copper and Brass Radiators

Serpentine Louvered Fin Configurations - Most economical and common. Very good when space constraints are limited. Not recommended for high debris applications.

Flat Fin Non-Louvered – More expensive and durable than the serpentine configurations. Works well in high vibration applications and harsh environments. The staggered tube configurations function well with light to medium debris. Inline configurations are the best for high debris application and are generally larger than the other configurations.

Aluminum Radiators

Aluminum Radiator / Plastic Tanks - Economical for high volume runs. Not recommended for industrial applications. Fins tend to be easily damaged, clog, and special anti-freeze must be used and maintained to prevent erosion of the radiator tubes.

Aluminum Radiator / Fabricated Tanks - These types of radiators can be used in an industrial environment when constructed similar to charge air cooler configurations. This configuration tends to be more expensive, but ideal for lower volume production.

Charge Air Coolers

Richardson Cooling Packages offers 2 configurations of Charge Air Coolers (CAC) for use in side by side and front to back configurations. This product line is a must for the new emissions requirements being implemented over the course of the next couple of years.

Tube and Fin –Tube and Fin construction is the most economical and offers the best air side pressure drop. This product is limited by the extruded tube sizes offered.

Plate and Bar – Ideal for small volume runs. A bit more expensive and durable than the tube and fin configurations. Great for high vibration applications.

Oil Coolers

Richardson Cooling Packages offers many different custom oil cooler packages, most of which are custom designed into our complete cooling packages. Our brazed oil cooler line consists of tube and fin, plate and bar, and stacked plate oil coolers.
